A Free Year, and a Renewal Nobody Prints

Indiana Registered Agent.co is the author of this page and the seller of the $99 service it advocates. Since the entire argument turns on published prices beating unpublished ones, inventing a competitor's figure would defeat it. No figure below is invented.

Twelve Months at No Charge, Confirmed

Registered agent service arrives at $0 for twelve months inside an Inc Authority formation package. We examined the offer for the conditions such promotions usually carry, an activation fee, a term shorter than advertised, a clause reclaiming the value on cancellation, and identified none of them. For an Indiana company managing a first-year budget, a legally mandatory service supplied at no cost is a real benefit, and declining it on principle would be poor economics.

After That, the Price Is Withheld

The renewal rate for agent service is not disclosed in Inc Authority's public material. Our July 2026 review covered the package listings, the answers section, and the home page, and the figure appears in none of them. The pattern this market follows suggests it is quoted at checkout or during a sales call.

We will not supply a stand-in. The structural observation is sufficient without one. A registered agent is a recurring expense for the life of the entity, the renewal therefore controls what the arrangement costs in total, and a renewal held back until the point of sale is a comparison that cannot be completed at the moment the decision is being made.

Our Two Numbers, Both Printed

The first is $99, charged at signup. The second is $99, charged at every renewal thereafter, and both sit on the pricing page in advance of any order. Around them: anything served on us in Indiana is scanned the same business day, a single service at checkout with no tier structure, an Indiana street address occupying the public agent field in place of yours, and alerts before the biennial report falls due.

The one number we will not claim is the lowest. BetterLegal advertises $90 a year, and it appears in our own comparison table rather than being left out of it. Ours is among the lowest flat annual rates in Indiana, which is what the evidence supports.

What It Takes to Switch From Inc Authority in Indiana

Set the two sides of this decision beside each other. Inc Authority's renewal has an unknown price and an unknown date. Indiana's exit has a known price and no date at all.

The state's half is State Form 56367, lodged with the Business Services Division either through INBiz or in the post, at a fee of $0. There is no filing window, no seasonal restriction, and no waiting period, so any business day works, including one inside the free year. Indiana has published both facts about its own filing for years; the figure that remains unpublished belongs to the service that starts at nothing.

The successor has to exist before the paperwork can name it, which is the only ordering rule involved: enroll with the replacement, file the statement, watch the entry change on your record, then close the Inc Authority account.
